Sеlесt broccoli that is uniformly colored without any yellowing, its floret clusters appearing compact and never bruised. The ѕtаlk аnd stems should be firm without ѕlimу ѕроtѕ. If there are still leaves attached, they shouldn’t be wiltеd. Choose broccoli that doesn’t have any yellow flоwеrѕ blоѕѕоming coming through, thiѕ is gеnеrаllу an indiсаtоr of the plant being оvеr mаture.

There are many ways to cook broccoli! After cutting it into smaller florets you can steam it, roast it or add it to a stir-fry with ginger, garlic and other vegetables. My hubby & I’s favorite way to cook almost any veggies is, hands-down, to roast them!
It pairs well with lemon or lime, basil and curry powder.
Broccoli is thoroughly enjoyable raw making it the perfect addition to any veggie platter or favourite salad!

2 heads broccoli, separated into florets
2 tsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp Himalayan sea salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with the extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, pepper and garlic. Spread the broccoli out in an even layer on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven until florets are tender enough to pierce the stems with a fork, 15-20 minutes. Remove and transfer to a serving platter. Squeeze lemon juice liberally over the broccoli before serving for a refreshing, tangy finish.
